If I can make someone smile or perhaps get a smile on MY face when I open my mailbox (which not one day goes by that I don't HOPE to find something FUN popping out of my mailbox) then I think I've done my job and tried to make the world is a BETTER place by making just one person happy! Addresses are sometimes altered for protection so the overall visual of the envelope may or may not be the way it was.

WOW! Some feedback already!

Below was wonderful advice and wisdom for the beginner.. sent from a great friend!
Trish, you are a wonder! Just when I think you could not possibly take on one more thing, you surprise me with yet another endeavor.

I think this is a great idea! You can show those new to calligraphy that you can start with a small palette -- you don't have to be able to write a whole page worth of text in order to enjoy the craft. The great thing about addresses is that you can concentrate on your letters, rather than trying to find the "essence" of a pithy quote. Great for those who are time challenged (me!)

I salute you in the name of letter lovers everywhere.
Your greatest fan (well, I know you have many),
What a great idea! funfunfunfunfun.
Looking forward to the envelope blog! My fav. is still Holly's drawing of your doggie.
What a great idea to share envelopes.  I look forward to
visiting the blog.
(This is in regards to the local envelope exchange here in Austin! By the way, I will not be revealing ANY of the current exchange envelopes here until it is complete! )Trish,
I just wanted to let you know that I completed my envelope and it will go in tomorrow's mail. I know I am no different than some of the other artists in that overcoming inertia and deciding on the one idea out of the many is harder than one thinks it's going to be! Thoroughly enjoyed it and ended up doing the first design I had imagined even though I thought of others after. Thank goodness I have already decided on my February and it's not a valentine! (unless I decide to do 2 in February LOL)
Hope all is well with you. I have received my envelope in the mail on Saturday also. Thanks for your blog. It will be very, very, helpful!!!
From my "non calligraphic" sister
lol... i can't imagine that you would show any of mine.
Thanks Trish!  Great ideas and envelopes to copy.
Also, thanks for the envelope I received from you this week.  I love it!  Wish I could copy some of yours!!

Nice idea. I look forward to seeing your collection!
I am fine with any envelopes you have sent me.............
That will be a wonderful blog...........

I've stared at it many times--I love you and your work!
Can't wait to see it.
